I’ve recently been diagnosed. My sores have healed, I’m pain free but I am now suffering with urinary retention. I just can’t seem to get my urethra to open but the urge to wee is still there.
Has anyone suffered with this? Does it resolve on its own? How long does it take?

I struggled with this for 4 months following my initial infection. I’m going on month 5 ans im finally feeling normal.

I am suffering this. I am struggling to wee or poo. All my muscles down there feel useless right now and it’s been scaring me. I really hope it isn’t doing any sort of damage. I feel like I go to the loo and nothing comes out. Glad to hear someone else has experienced this 😔

I’m going through the same thing right now. I’m so sorry you’re going through this but I’m so glad I’m not alone because doctor google absolutely freaked me out. All of my other symptoms are resolving but this new symptom came 3 days ago. I know I need to pee, I just can’t quite get it out. I hope you’re doing ok!

I put burn gel on to numb my skin and the aloe helps soothe the skin. I also applies extra strength destin cream with high zinc. With the two items I feel like my body wasn’t “scared” to relax to pre and poop. I had open sores on and around both opening and both nearly made me want to faint to go. The cream truly help me relax to make it all more bearable. Give those a try. When your body is going though trauma it tries to stop certain functions.

I too suffered for samething for 3months until I complained to my Dr who is a specialist in herpes, he sent me a medicine I took and I regained my muscles and got myself back.

If anyone want to reach him, you can do that through WhatsApp on +2348148717513
