I just got diagnosed with genital herpes and while I’m still reeling from the shock, the logical side of me is taking charge and trying to make sure I’m keeping my vagina clean so that hopefully, I heal faster.
Lots of websites suggest wearing cotton undies and ensuring the genital area is clean, but there seems to be no specific instructions 🙁
For me, I wash my vagina every time I relieve myself and apply the prescribed cream to the sores, but I seem to have a discharge from either the pus or whatever else and I’m wondering if I should have a panty liner inside my cotton undies or should I change my undies each time I clean myself?
Since I’m supposed to keep the area dry but panty liners tend to stay moist after it absorbs whatever is coming out of me.
Would appreciate some advice on this!
Thank you in advance!
